Thanks for the replies. I just feel that what is being done is rather underwhelming and that more people would be happy to donate towards heritage buildings such as this, if they knew about them and if it was made easier to donate.
Barbara, we visited Broadstairs a few years ago. We saw the Dickens House Museum but didn’t have time to visit, unfortunately. Also we visited Rochester and saw the at risk Dickens building, but again didn’t have time to visit. I had wanted to visit Rochester for some time, as I’d seen it several times on one of those antique programmes on t.v. Really lovely and old main high street, plus the cathedral. Was surprised how historic it was.
