I totally agree with you, Steven.  The RNLI was set up in 1824 to save lives from shipwrecks.  Fast forward to 2026 and it is impossible to classify the migrants' dinghies as shipwrecks.

I like the idea that Florida said, in a way, help yourselves as we will not be able/willing to help you. Why put the rescuers in danger?

But, as I said before, that is a political (meaning Government's) decision to adopt and not for the RNLI to do so.
