| Mr Callaway 'On the other hand, he (Burnham) may turn out to be a genuine proponent of radical change in a way that a majority of voters can respond to'. I am uncertain - 1) that there is universal agreement amongst the majority of voters over what they want to see radical changes in. Economic matters (increase tax and spend on benefits ?) or more overtly political (more or less immigration). 2) that Burnham has any new policies (he has had many and various in past incarnations !) to enact such changes. I am not surprised that young Owen Jones, 'professional leftist agitator' and T-shirt wearer agrees with me but I am sure his reasons and mine differ. Jones makes a good living from the Guardian giving a good kicking to anyone not as extreme in their leftist views as he is and defending the indefensible in support for the antisemitic pro-Palestinian 'cause'. Makes his old Guardian colleague Mr Ainsworth seem like a Faragist fellow traveller ! |
