I am sure, Ivonne, that  many journalists on the 'Telegraoh' dislike the BBC. But in this case the criticism of the BBC originally came from its own independent advisor on editorial standards, Michael Prescott. He was the person who made the two charges, 1) that Panorama had deliberately misquoted Trump to make it appear that he had explicitly incited the riot at the Capitol and 2) that BBC Management refused to accept that there had been any breach of journalistic standards. The 'Telegraph' merely reported the existence of Prescott's memo, which is now in the hands of MPs. The last part of my post, dealing with the politics of hate, was simply an attempt to explain why standards at the BBC, an organisation once respected for its impartiality and accuracy in reporting the news, have fallen so low.
