| Mr Brigo 'Yeah so small boat immigration = up, legal immigration = down. As legal migration is ten times higher than small boat crossings (400,000 vs 36,000) that means net migration is down right?' That is not really the point. The key issue is that the UK, as is the case for any nation state, has the right to determine who can enter its territory with a view to abiding there. Legal migrants are just that - legal and the ones we have agreed we want to stay here. 'Small boat' illegal immigrants are ones we don't want or have not deemed we do. They also are aided and abetted by criminal gangs, cost us millions to process and seem to have a propensity for committing crime. |
