There's a fascinating article in the Law Society Gazette (not, I admit, my normal reading) on Vennells' disgusting treatment of Susan Crichton the PO's general counsel (their top lawyer). She accused her of putting her legal integrity over her responsibility to the business and later it seems, fired her. That was bad enough, but the bit about the Second Sight review of Horizon's inadequacies, (which Vennells blamed Crichton for bringing to to the Board), is for me what's really interesting. In a comnent that deserves to be widely known, Vennells said that the review had been ‘challenging [but] it had highlighted some positive things as well as improvement oopportunities’. Improvement opportunities!!! Now there's an interesting euphemism for the kind of computer bugs that destroy the integrity of a system! https://www.lawgazette.co.uk/news/paula-vennells-i-didnt-want-my-lawyer-to-sacrifice-her-integrity/5119822.article |
