Hi Judy, The Friends put up 100 swift nest boxes along Fawe Park Road, Wadham Road and Bective Road. The swifts were late to arrive this year, but they are all around the east end of Fawe Park Road, all along Oakhill and the side streets, Upper Richmond Road at the top of Oakhill and I've seen many in the east side of the park so far. They have been late because of the weather and seem to make an appearance sporadically. But keep an eye out and the best times I've found are early morning and late afternoon and dusk. If you look way up they are usually flying up high. But they are here now despite being about a month late. |
