Doctors in the NHS aren't getting the support they need from other services they need for their jobs and a lot of effort is needed to coordinate all the services that are being privatised. When you have large private businesses able to sue the NHS over contracts and millions of letters with test results being stored instead pf being sent to patients fragmentation shows itself to be a problem. The problems and frustrations of being able to contact ang get apptmts are as a result of trying to cut costs. Some little changes like being able to contact your surgery online and getting automatic text message confirmations and reminders of apptmts with the tel no to cancel if you need to is a great step forward. Problems pccur when the IT doesn't cover your enquiry/problem. |
