| There's a long discussion in trolleybus.net (I know, I should get out more) that includes this, fron someone who obviously knew what he was talking about: "The only other river crossing was at Putney carrying the 626/628/630/655 routes over; these were the only ex-LCC routes south of the river converted to trolleybus. From Putney, the route was Putney Bridge Road, Wandsworth High Street, where the 630 branched off on its long run to Croydon and the other three continued for about a mile and a half to Clapham Junction." The last of the trolleybuses ended in 1962 (an impressive memory, Pauline!), rather a shame as they produced a fraction of the pollution of diesel buses and that was mostly produced elsewhere.
