On the Putney - days Gone By Facebook page there are two different suggestions for the covered market:

Si Magee suggests Felsham Road, but I think this confuses the original covered market with the temporary space where the PO sorting office was, which was subsequently replaced by the Exchange.

OTOH, Clive Williams says it ran between Putney High Street and what at the time was known as Brewhouse Lane - in other words, where the Odeon cinema is now. This seems the more likely bet.
