BWB also refused to provide to trustees instructions which they were given by Lee. It became pretty clear early on that BWB were not independent, they were in fact working to close down the WPCC review. Their early suggestion of using Daniel ('we know them very well') Watney was sufficient to set off alarm bells. A material conflict of interest between a BWB partner and a WPCC trustee had not been declared before they were appointed. They were appointed because of the connection, which was hidden to the board, but known to Lee. BWB walked when their independence was questioned, they refused to answer, legged it. |
