Indeed. Especially when the gagging orders, it claims, were “in the spirit of the Nolan Priniciples of Public Life” (point 2.4). We now know that the “privileged information” included the fact that the land on Putney Common was sold by the charity without obtaining a valuation at all, though of course the WPCC persistently claimed otherwise - until the ICO forced the charity to publish this “privileged” information. Is it any wonder that BWB walked away from this sordid mess before it too became embroiled in the web of deceit? |
