| There is an interesting paper on this on the agenda of the latest Children & Education Scrutiny and Overview Committee. My reading of WBC's stance is that most of our secondary schools are already performing well and that the drive should be towards raising standards even higher, rather than setting up Grammar Schools. There appears to be some concession allowing for limited partial selection in some schools. |
