| It is rare for me to post as I do not consider this is a place for political messaging but I felt I should in this case. The teaching unions have produced figures that are pure invention and designed only to cause parents and schools unnecessary worry and upset. The new funding formula has not even been published so the numbers produced by the NUT are based on pure speculation and guesswork. It is shameful and irresponsible of the unions, the Labour Party and Cllrs Ambache and Jones in particular to have slanted them in this way. I would like to add that local parents and schools in Wandsworth can rest assured we will play a positive role in the forthcoming consultation and continue to press the case for a good and fair financial deal for all our schools. |
