The complaint (some time ago) used to be too many shoe shops,then it was too many building societies,then too many charity shops, then too many coffee shops,then too many mobile phone shops, one group are always complaining about too many pubs. WE are lucky that Putney attracts shops of any description and if people want to bet and drink rather than go to church and read a whole lot of why oh whys wont make a odds on difference. As it happens betting shops have come ,gone and are now on their way back but given the increasing use of the internet may not be with us is such great numbers foir much longer. Personally I thing there are too many people and for that one has to blame the parents. |
