I walk dogs on a daily basis and probably know where every bin is located in West Putney and on the Common (and there are plenty of them.)  This morning my dog 'deposited' in Charlwood Road and I was able to put the bag in a bin outside Eileen Lecky Clinic.  There was another one immediately around the corner on Clarendon Drive and another one on the wall outside the RSPCA (although there was a very large ferocious looking dog chained to the railings there).  Or I could have walked back to outside Hotham School on Hotham Road.  Or indeed, taken it home - what's the problem? My point is that if you are a responsible dog owner I don't see the problem in walking 50 yards with a sealed bag.  Sadly there will always be irresponsible people who will never clean up and often it is people going to the RSPCA or, I think, walking their dogs late at night and think no one will notice. There are also bins provided on the Main Common at the entrance by the hospital and by the first iron bridge by Beverley Brook.  My biggest bug bear is the playing fields adjoining Rocks Lane (which are under Richmond Council's jurisdiction).  Dog walking companies exercise their dogs there and I have never seen any evidence of them cleaning up.  I have contacted Richmond Council about this on two occasions and they have said they have met with the companies but I pity any poor child who plays football or any other sports at this totally filthy and unhygienic location.
