Since we supposedly live in the era of not rewarding failure then any review should be carried out independently and paid for by sacking a swathe of the WPCT for prima facie gross incompetance. The top seems like the best place to start and perhaps surcharging should make a comeback so that senior public servants bear some of the risk when they waste such large sums of our money instead of just riding into the sunset with a publicly funded gold plated pension based on an excesssive risk-free salary. |
