| In other words it's OK to buy a 4 pack from Threshers and drink on the Embankment but not OK to buy a pint in a plastic glass from DH and drink on the Embankment...that is until they get the requisite permission from the licencing sub-committee. On the basis that "There is no question that the council has banned drinking on the Embankment" why should it matter to Ms Brass & Co where the drink was purchased? Furthermore if public safety/nuisance etc is the issue then surely pints @ £3+ is more likely to encourage restraint than 8 cans from Threshers costing £7ish. In a nutshell: Why should DH even need to apply for this amendment to their licence? |
