Probably into the black economy, where they take the jobs and reduce the wages of indigenous British citizens. Or they live a life of crime. 'Let border control deal with them' I take it from this comment that you do believe our border control such as it is should be trying to manage the illegal immigration crisis ? Why don't these immigrants immediately seek asylum and risk the consequences of their claim failing and them having to return to their homeland ? Or perhaps you could advise them as to how, as someone non-British who managed to get THREE British passports. What was the basis of your claim ? 'but the job of RNLI, which is heroic by the way, has nothing to do with that'. We all agree on the invaluable work they do and how they should be kept out of political disputes. The main one being "should the UK have the right to control its borders and only allow people to reside here if they follow and are supported by the proper channels. Please drop the faux compassion for the RNLI used to cover your true feelings about illegal immigration. NO ONE has anything but praise for the work they do. It was just unfortunate that a few hot-headed anti-immigration fanatics made ill-conceived comments about them. Their true feelings of support were never given the same prominence by the pro-immigration brigade a member of which you seem firmly to be. And where are you an immigrant from ? I only ask as it will put your critical comments about this country's immigration policy and procedures into some degree of context. You surely must concede that immigration is an issue that is of importance to many ? Other commonly reported issues in the latest period included: climate change and the environment (62%) immigration (61%) crime (58%) Certainly immigration is not the most concerning issue but none the less is such for many people. Guess it is influenced by where you live and your contact with immigrants or what you read in the media concerning what some of them get up to. |
