Yes, Mr Hawkes, Denmark's association with Greenland does go back to colonial times. However, I get the impression most Greenlanders are happier with their Danish masters than being a US territory, and they had sufficient sovereignty to be the first state to leave the EU. But I wasn't just referring to Greenland; there's also President Trump's desire for Canada to be US state, or has there been a U-turn on that. There also seems to be a feeling that Presiden Trump wants Russia to acquire part of Ukraine, perhaps not a good idea to show that aggression pays off, or is it deliberate on is part? You seem to insist on mistakenly think I'm anti-american. I'm not, as I explained in a previous post so I'm not bothering to repeat the details. I do disagree, with some of the current US policies, such as bullying Zelensky or wanting to acquire Canada, but friends are allowed to disagree, aren't they? One of my oldest friends is an ardent Brexit supporter. I'd make the point that my views on the US are influenced by Facebook comments or "likes" of my US friends and contacts. Are you anti British because you perhaps disagree with Sir Keir on some points? |
