| I don't think that's entirely fair or accurate, Ivonne. The survey says clearly that the "upgrade works on Putney Bridge and the High Street junction [were designed] in order to improve safety and accessibility for users." Consequently, it's hardly surprising that the questions concentrate on asking questions about those most impacted by lack of safety, namely pedestrians and cyclists. On the other hand, the survey talks about "redesigning traffic lanes to reduce congestion:" maybe there's another questionnaire to examine that? If there is, I can only imagine the level of vituperation in the answers to it... PS: The survey also claims that, amongst the improvements, "The works included introducing a segregated cycle lane on the bridge." Eh? There is no segregated cycle lane on the bridge! Perhaps they are confusing this with the actual improvements for cyclists north- and south-bound at the end of PHS next to the bridge. |
