Prof Gillian Leng has produced a review of PAs (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/687760ed55c4bd0544dcaefb/the-Leng-review-an-independent-review-into-physician-associate-and-anaesthesia-associate-professions.pdf) which suggests more clarity is needed, but the BMA (which is admittedly hardly neutral in this) criticises it for not going far enough (https://www.bma.org.uk/bma-media-centre/the-leng-review-exposes-catastrophic-failures-in-nhs-leadership-but-fails-to-fully-protect-patients-says-bma) |
