Worst shop is Clarks shoes in the High Street.  It takes me back to the 1970's, the harassed, almost frightened-looking shop girls who are clearly being bullied by their manager to make sales WHATEVER it takes. Spouting the 'they look lovely on you' whatever you try on, 'they will stretch', when they are too small and they don't have the next size up, 'they don't come in half sizes', when they don't have the next size up or down, 'they only come in one half size because that is the most popular' when you point out that the display shoe is in fact, a half size, the inevitable attempt to make you buy their dismal, overpriced shoe polish or 'suede protector' at the till... (why don't they just sell suede shoes that are already protected?) Just a horrible experience.
