Thank you to everybody who suggested 'dead pub' candidates, of which some were still unknown to CAMRA. Had fun exploring and actually managed-at last- to make it inside the rather splendid modern art gallery on Lower RR which used to be the Cricketers. Apparently it featured largely in Jilly Cooper's "The Common Years" as the setting for a series of high jinks.

The Gallery is about to feature an exhbition by a local artist whose work is very striking colourblock vistas and landscapes, including one of Battersea power Station. It opens on Saturday 11th Sept at the Gallery which is at 180 Lower Richmond Road. There seems to be plenty of unrestricted local parking which I found near-miraculous when I visited yesterday.
