Despite the Conservatives plan to drop the planned parking charges for Richmond Park, it appears to be going ahead. While walking my dog in Richmond Park this afternoon someone alerted me to the Planning Application - an unobtrusive A4 sheet pinned next to the map of the park. If you're one of the many people who object to these parking charges, PLEASE register your objection as soon as possible on www.richmond.gov.uk/planning It's a simple process, but not hugely straightforward - Search for current application number 10/1193, select Royal Park Richmond Park, then click on 'Scanned Images are Available' and then 'Comment on Application' I was told today that there are only 3 days left for people to register objections, and if the planning application is approved, it will be difficult to stop. Not sure how true this is but PLEASE - if you make use of the park at all - REGISTER YOUR OBJECTION NOW! |
