As I grew up in Barnes, and for over 50 years have been walking to and fro over Barnes Common, I remember the days when people said there used to be Black Masses performed in there - they said that black candles where found on many of the graves, now that spooky.

But seriously I wish that the railings could be put back around the cemetary, if you notice there is a corner stone about 50 yards (sorry still not very metric!!) away from the first graves, this is where the original railings were, but of course over the years it has been left to rack and ruin.

The cemetary where the cottage is up for auction is as you all say Putney cemetary, the one near the tennis course is Barnes cemetary
