| This morning I noticed a sign on the building by Putney Cemetery stating it was up for auction. Having been into the auctioneer’s website, their blurb states; “A freehold cemetery lodge in a very peaceful area just by Putney Common. It would make a wonderful house and is being sold with vacant possession for the London Borough of Wandsworth, in our forthcoming auction in March.” My query is; would you want to live in that location? Very close to one of the busiest routes into London, this can hardly be called ‘peaceful’! Plus being on top of the cemetery, sleeping at night might be difficult for some as well! |
