| Sue, a fundamental flaw in your argument. They're not criminals unless proven guilty - a fundamental principle of English law is they're innocent until proven guilty! Lack of legal aid would mean more cases being defended by the accused. Judges don't like that - they're not familiar with court procedures which wastes time and can lead to more mistrials, or even collapse of cases. |
