Mr Hawkes, EU Parliament’s President is elected by Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) in a secret ballot. This takes place in the first plenary session after the elections. Does this process sound at all familiar to you? An yes, the UK had MEPs in the EU Parliament in 2019 when she was first elected. "Why should any of us be interested in what she thinks?"  Because she is rational. You expressed my precise sentiments for Trump.  No UK citizen voted for him at all and he pokes his nose into everybody else's life!  Oooops, I forgot!  What did he say when entering the meeting room of the G7.  I am the boss!  Oh, yeah!
