| legality/illegality aside, the UK was moving assets into the Gulf for 2 months to bolster defence of our bases and allies. So clearly the MoD and UK gov felt that there was a good chance that Gulf states would be attacked if a war broke out. What concerns me is that our only anti ballistic missile assets are 6 Type 45 destroyers of which ZERO were ready - in fact 9 days in, Dragon is still not quite ready. I appreciate that maintenance and upgrades are normal, but which genius allowed all 6 to be out of action simultaneously? |
