No it doesn't just "last 10 weeks" - this remark shows total ignorance of basic immunology. But no surprise - why should any idiot member of the general public be expected to have a post-doctoral understanding of immunology in the first place? What actually happens is that after several weeks there are less antibodies, but the vaccine has primed the immune system with T cells and B cells. If the body confronts the virus, or something similar again, the T cells alert the B cells which manufacture more antibodies again. Vaccination, and also previous infection,  have the effect of making the disease experience far less severe. Get to the point when everyone has had one or the other and this thing might really become like a cold or flu - a couple of years hence.

But never mind the science, just listen to the JCVI. Or some ridiculous tit on the internet that hasn't a clue. Make your decision as to which to listen to. A tough call I know.
