I met a young lady last night - a graduate who is looking for a job - and while she is doing that she is doing voluntary work. She is working in a food bank and also helping people with all these forms. It must be difficult when you are now in a wheelchair and can no longer do your old job and have just been told to go out and get work. When I left college we all went off for interviews and got jobs. There wasn't so much difficulty. Companies used to send hand typed individual rejection letters. Now they tell you at interview that they won't be doing that. Times have changed! |
