Really sad and very worrying. Hopefully, this will act as a wake up call to politicians here to stop stirring up the dogs of war in the north. The destabilising effect of the post referendum atmosphere, along with the preferential treatment of the DUP, the ignorance of Karen Brady the NI secretary, the ‘discussion’ about the border etc etc etc. This is a very dangerous game. I am not making any excuse for the criminals that murdered this young woman, irrespective of whatever banner they go under. But politicians, commentators, journalists etc should be far more responsible. I thought Pelosi’s comments regarding trade deals with the US yesterday were spot on. If they jeopardise the GoodFriday peace agreement then no chance. I wish more politicians had her sense of gravitas and responsibility.
