I agree Richard, perhaps being in the wrong place at the wrong time. But it is difficult to understand why a person would carry a gun casually, regardless of the protest. The BBC is reporting there was a riot in response to police raids on properties in Derry. The raids were based on information that dissident republicans were planning attacks on the city. The anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising and of course, the Good Friday Agreement come to mind. |
