I watched it and it was very sad to learn how those two little girls in Wales were killed by the sadistic Harold Jones. It was a very interesting programme and in all probability the London murders were committed by him as well. However this conclusion was reached on circumstantial evidence only by a panel of experts in various fields which I found ott and rather confusing at times. Without credible forensic evidence or DNA samples from Jones and the victims I don't see how it can be proven beyond all doubt that HJ murdered these 6 women. I do realise that the victims' surviving relatives would like closure but I'm not sure that re-opening these cold cases would be the right thing to do. I imagine there would be DNA profiling for Jones held on medical records because of the illness he suffered and subsequently died from, but is there any held for the murder victims because the programme didn't tell us, unless I missed it? Would the victims' bodies need to be exhumed?, and if they were cremated there are no remains to examine anyway, so how would the investigations proceed from there? It would be an extremely expensive and lengthy process to re-open 6 decades-old murder cases which would take up a lot of police time and resources, so I don't really think it should be approved. It was nice to see you in the programme Neil. 😊 |
