It might have been helpful if the WPCC Press Release regarding the appointment of an Interim Manager had also advised why one of the tasks the Interim Manager is charged with namely 'the completion of the Formal Action Plan' is necessary when in an earlier Press Release (February 2017) the Trustees said 'At their scheduled meeting on 13/2/17 the Board considered that, in their view, the WPCC had now completed the implementation of the Formal Action Plan.' At the very least perhaps they could have at least said their view was perhaps a little cloudy. It is rather ironic that another Press Release from the WPCC today trumpets (re the 'Access for All' campaign) that the begging bowl had broken the £5,000 barrier when again looking at todays Press Release we read that the Interim Manager is appointed to 'review the decision not to recover the significant loss brought about by the grant of the easement at a 'significant undervalue' (the Charity Commission's words). The Trustees would do well to remind themselves of another Press Release they issued on 11 April this year. |
