Starmer and Rayner are both guilty of hypocrisy Andy although they present in vastly different ways. Starmer attempts to belittle with his usual superior intellect approach whereas Rayner resorts to her sarcastic angry fishwife persona. Now the Party have another situation being investigated by the police. Labour got away with 'beergate' because it was investigated by Durham police. Joy Allen was the County Durham and Darlington Police and Crime Commissioner at the time. Keir Starmer had previously campaigned for the crime tsar and had even recorded a video endorsing Labour's Joy Allen as she ran for election as Durham's police and crime commissioner. Subsequently after their investigation Durham Police decided that Starmer, Rayner (and 15 other Labour colleagues) had not broken Covid rules. Now Birmingham police are investigating whether (or not) Rayner has broken electoral law with her 2 homes shady shenanigans. Will this be another case of 'move along nothing to see here' response from the police? However I suppose that could depend on whether Starmer has any favours to redeem from that constabulary? |
