| It is still worrying to hear that the playing fields have been 'sold off'. I can't see why the council should want to sell off OUR land and why is this being talked about as 'disposal of surplus assets' .....Why surplus? This is a valued open space. Despite Cllr Maddan's response and attempt at clarification, it does not really make much sense for local residents. It seems that access to the site may yet be restricted if you are just an ordinary local and not a local school, 'sports club' or 'community' group. Are there any other proposals to 'dispose' of our open spaces? |
