On Tuesday 22nd December between approximately 0830 and 0900am my cat was shot by someone with a pellet gun around the Woodborough Road area in Putney. Fortunately when he returned home bleeding from his right eye I was able to rush him to the local vets and the pellet was removed – however we still do not know if he will have any vision in this eye and he will obviously require further treatment at the vets.
I have notified the local police, MP and local councillors - but wanted to use this forum to warn all other pet owners that this has happened and also to appeal for anyone with information on this to contact the local safer neighbourhoods police team on 0208 721 2760 or at westputney.snt@met.police.uk. Next time who knows what or who they will shoot.
