Sue. Why don't you Google what you want to know - instead of posting another anti-Royals post?

KC and Buck House are sure to be ahead of the ostriches re preparation for droughts and minimising use, wastage of clean water and making good reuse of water.  It's the use of hosepipes and sprinklers that some people leave on for hours to water grass that doesn't need to be constantly watered that is a huge drain on water resources.  Buck House has been undergoing modernisation works for years now.

Irrigation systems and water butts and storage tanks and grey water use and hosepipe bans have been occurring more and more often.  In 1967 there were standpipes in the streets.  It's not so long ago that the situation in South Africa got so bad the water was regularly shut off and people were showering while standing in tin baths to collect the used water.  There is also such a thing as a "navy shower" here but many people just get so stuck in their own routines and become so self-centred and self- indulgent that they can't cope with any sudden change!

The Thames Water site gives details of who should be on their priority register.
