| Yes, but if there is not to be a General Election, we need a Labour Prime Minister who is willing to increase defence spending by reducing expenditure on welfare, if necessary by facing down those on the backbenches who inanely repeat the mantra, ‘I wasn’t elected to Parliament to make my constituents poorer’. Sometimes a government has to choose between guns and butter. |
