Topic: Cleaning up the Thames

I noticed the other day that there had been a clean up on the Thames by a group of canoeists including a West London MP.

It would be good if the Thames was cleaner and safer to swim and boat in and I noticed this website:

I know that Thames 21 are also active in this area and I've read about Fleur Anderson MP taking part in what I think must still be an annual (or more?) Wet Wipe Count on the foreshore.

As part of London's Rivers Week there is an exhibition at Stanley Picker's Gallery @ Kingston University

I don't understand where their weeks' start and end but this exhibition seems to be on for quite a while!

There's always more to learn about rivers and their tributaries!

Just beware and take care and don't just jump in the water to cool down because it is hot out as there can be a lot of risks including heart attacks from the sudden change in temperature.
