Bigger profits? Perhaps lower increases if fewer staff? I doubt whether the kids gangs in Clapham had much to do with self service checkouts, more people stirring things up on TikTok Perhaps growing use of technology does create a psychological barrier between shop staff and customers? Looking at some forum posts it seems to be aggravating for some? Personally I'm not too concerned with self service tills. The Amazon shops where it recognised what one had picked up and you walked out while it automatically billed you; but I notice they're gradually being shut down. Must admit they didn't have much we wanted ... |
