'Maximum Driving Time: HGV drivers can drive up to 9 hours in a day, with an extension to 10 hours twice a week. Bus drivers can drive up to 10 hours in a day. Rest Periods: HGV drivers must take at least 11 hours of rest every 24 hours, which can be reduced to 9 hours up to three times a week. Bus drivers must take at least 11 hours of rest every 24 hours. Breaks: After driving for 4.5 hours cumulatively, drivers must take a 45-minute break, which can be split into two shorter breaks—one 15-minute and one 30-minute. Weekly Limits: In a single week, HGV drivers cannot exceed 56 hours of driving, and in a two-week period, the total mustn’t go over 90 hours'. |
