| I fear this post may provoke a Tsunami of rhetoric, but my question is simple and I would love to see it considered soberly: If, as we are often reminded, Israel is a democracy, how can its prime minister legitimately seek a pardon for his alleged crimes? Israel has a sophisticated legal system which exists to deal with such matters. A pardon (at the behest of President Trump) cannot be justified and should surely be denied. In democracies, justice is allowed to take its course. |
