It is a nonsensical 'deal' as everybody with a functioning brain knows. Typical stitch-up again by Macron who obviously knows how to play our weak and pathetic PM like a 2-bob fiddle. The only sure way to stop the boats is to disable the dinghies on the French shoreline, as demonstrated in that French PR exercise three days ago. If the wee wannabe Bonaparte was seriously committed to helping the U.K. he could deploy dozens of police or other law enforcers to strategic disembarking points along the coast in order to deflate the boats and arrest the traffickers. I realise this would be a very costly operation but Stanley Knives are cheap and we have already paid the French £700M for doing bugger all. Alternatively Cooper could send her latest invention, the Border Security Command (BSC)?? over to do the job themselves. Starmer would have to grovel a lot more but he is used to being on his knees ... However at the end of the day (hated cliche) there is only 1 in 1 out that will work and hopefully we won't have to wait another 4 years for it to happen. |
