February has come and gone - and still no news from the Wandsworth Primary Care Trust on their efforts to find a buyer for the old Putney Hospital site on Putney Lower Common. Given that they started seeking a buyer last October and the site has been on the open market since before last Christmas, I suppose this is what we ought to expect from a Primary Care Trust which made such a mess of the proposal to redevelop the site for a new Primary Care Centre. We know that the Borough Council is interested in the site and would like to see it redeveloped for a new 'free' primary school.  The March issue of Brightside, in an article about schools on page 7, says "The derelict Putney Hospital site has also been identified as a possible location for a new primary school".  However, this doesn't get us very far in explaining what is going on. The Primary Care Trust has been asked to say what progress is being made in the disposal of the site.  Local stakeholders deserve to be kept informed.  No information has been forthcoming, however. Will the site be sold before the WPCT is abolished, I wonder?
