| No not necessarily the Putney ones but you're still wrong in using it because ignorant people are insensitive and do use it. This is from the web: The word "gypsy" is often used to refer to travelling showmen, but it is not a phrase that they would use to refer to themselves (the usual term is "traveller") and in fact many would regard this as a slur. You're plainly happy using the word. I'm not happy seeing it used here. I bet lots of people are amused by your defence of it. |
