From yesterday's Council Meeting a report from PuyneyNews ths morning.
https://putney.news/2026/09/16/council-tax-will-double-in-april-up-by-an-average-of-1000/

Be prepared for our council tax to almost double from next May (mine is currently Band F and includes the Commons levy). It will go from £1534 to £2917! Lovely situation to be in while my income, like most pensioners, is a fixed one.

Anyone  know what we can do to stop this happening, other than to refuse to pay it?
