@ John Hawkes 10.22 Nobody should be allowed to carry a bladed weapon, whatever its size, period.   No exceptions!   Everyone who is found to be carrying a bladed item should be detained and fast-tracked into the local Magistrates’ Court within 48 hours.   It can be done; Starmer invoked them in 2011 (when DDP) and again in 2024.  Magistrates must be given the powers to sentence offenders to a mandatory 6 month prison sentence or a detention and training order, dependent on age.  Stop and search needs to be drastically stepped up with an equal number of white and non-whites being stopped.   This is the only way to dispel the racially-motivated claims often made by non-white offenders.   Playing the race card has been going on for decades and it must now be made redundant.
